These systems are manufactured using high quality parts at a competitive price, (not in a garage or on an assembly line with low paid workers). You would not enlist a high school graduate to construct a submarine and then volunteer to take a dive to the bottom of the ocean. It is also very risky to ask people with no electronics background to build your computer for you & hope that it works well.

Most companies believe that it is too difficult to inform their customers of technical differences in computer systems & therefore have resolved to compete with price, while claiming that their quality has not diminished. This is specifically why almost every computer company, when receiving a call about one of their computers that is a year or two old, strongly encourages the customer to upgrade to their new model which "is much better".

These same computer companies would not appreciate it if they brought their cars in for service, and it was implied that their 6 month old vehicles were old & outdated.
